Strict enforcement of designated parking areas will occur between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

During weekend and nighttime hours, 

these areas are considered open to the public.

All other regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (including holidays).

Regulations apply to ALL operators of vehicles on university property including faculty/staff, students and visitors

PENALTIES: 

All vehicles in violation of the Parking and Traffic regulations will be ticketed and fined for such violation. Fines for ticketed violations are as follows:

No Decal	$50.00
Official No Parking (staff areas 3:00 a.m.-6:00 a.m.)	$25.00
Non Designated (illegal parking is grass, roadways or sidewalks	$30.00
Restricted (illegal parking in non-designated parking spaces, i.e. maintenance, resident coordinator, reserved parking, restricted designated visitor spaces and loading zones)	$30.00
Other (15 minutes or longer without flashers)	$30.00

A fine will be accompanied with court costs if the violator fails to respond. At that time, the violation is then filed with the District Justice Office.

UNPAID PARKING TICKETS:

A vehicle boot/immobilizer may be installed on those vehicles which have five unpaid parking violations. Should no response be received within 10 working days of booting/immobilization, the vehicle may be towed (section 5).

BOOTING/IMMOBILIZATION OF VEHICLES: 

All booting/immobilization will be completed by the University Police Department as a part of fine collection. At no time is the booting/immobilization device used to penalize the parking violators at Slippery Rock University (section 5). The university has established a cost of $25.00 to be added to the payment for the violation(s) when the boot/immobilizer is installed.

TOWING:

Improper parking and parking in such a way as to obstruct exits, entrances, roadways and/or traffic may result in vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense (section 3).

PAYMENT:

Payment for parking ticket fines will be accepted at 145 Kiester Road, University Parking office, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets with payment enclosed may also be deposited in the ticket payment box at the end of the University Police parking lot.  If paying in drop box, please pay by check or money order. payable to SRU to exact amount.
