If you selected a lender that is guaranteed through AES/PHEAA, you can sign your MPN on-line by following the instructions below. If you selected a lender that is guaranteed through another Guaranty Agency, the instructions for signing your MPN will be found in the paper MPN they will provide you.

Step 1 : Collect the information you need to e-sign your MPN:

• Your driver's license number
• The name, address, telephone number and e-mail address (if available) of two adults with different U.S. addresses, the first of which should be a parent or legal guardian
• Your federal PIN number. If you do not have a PIN, you can apply for your PIN at www.pin.ed.gov

Step 2: Go to www.aessuccess.org and click on "Stafford Loans" and then click "Apply Now"

• Review the information and select "Continue"
• Select the option to "Create an Account" or enter your AES Account Access information if you already created one.
• Follow the steps to complete your MPN.
• All first time loan borrowers must complete ENTRANCE COUNSELING . You will be directed to complete the counseling prior to e-signing your MPN.  Please follow these steps as your loan funds will not be disbursed to the school until your entrance counseling is complete and you proceed to e-sign your loan.

Step 3: At the end of the MPN e-sign process you will need to locate your four character Stafford MPN transaction code located at the bottom of the Stafford MPN document. Write down the transaction code! You will not be able to complete the process without this transaction code.

Step 4: Print a copy of your electronically signed MPN and keep for your records.
