Faculty expertise in the Department of Biology covers a broad range of areas in the biological sciences, from organismal biology to aspects of biology at the cellular and molecular level. Through their interactions with the faculty, both in and out of the classroom, students are provided with an opportunity to gain a broad knowledge base in the biological sciences. Each of the departmental faculty holds an earned doctoral degree, and all aspects of the courses offered by the department, including laboratory experiences, are conducted exclusively by departmental faculty.
