The sports information office at Slippery Rock University is responsible for handling all public relations efforts relating to The Rock’s 17 intercollegiate athletics programs.
 
Sports information duties include writing and managing content for the official Web site of SRU athletics, www.RockAthletics.com, assisting outside media in producing content about Slippery Rock’s student-athletes, keeping statistics for all sports and producing game programs for all home events.
 
Other duties that fall on the sports information staff include broadcasting the majority of Slippery Rock’s home athletic contests through internet radio broadcasts and live statistics feeds. The department also maintains the official Rock Athletics Twitter page and provides video elements for the Web site.
 
The sports information office consists of two full-time staff members and a graduate assistant.
