The Slippery Rock University Licensing program was developed to protect, promote and support the use of the Slippery Rock University name and trademarks on products in the marketplace.
The department strives daily to ensure the public can identify with and trust the quality of any product or service bearing an official Slippery Rock University mark. All wordmarks and logos have been registered with the U.S. Office of Patents and Trademarks and are property of Slippery Rock University. Any trademark, service mark, mark, logo, insignia, seal design, slogan or other symbol or device associated with or referring to the University may not be used without the permission of the University Licensing & Trademark Office.
Slippery Rock University is a member of the Fair Labor Association (FLA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending sweatshop conditions in factories worldwide.
Our licensing representative is Strategic Marketing Affiliates. SMA qualifies licensees and awards non-exclusive rights to use the University's marks on licensed articles, collects royalties and enforces SRU's ownership rights of its marks, names and symbols.
