Kayaking, rock climbing launch 2012 SRU Outdoor Adventures         


SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University Outdoor Adventures program will host two indoor events for children in first through 12th grade. Jan. 28 the program will offer basic training in rock climbing. Feb. 4 includes skill development in kayaking.

Both sessions will run 9-11:30 a.m. in the Robert N. Aebersold Student Recreation Center and are limited to 20 participants. Advance registration is required and may be made by calling 724.738.2883.

Sessions are free for ARC members and $8 for non-members.

No experience is necessary for either activity and session will stress basic instruction.
