SRU basketball star signs with Dallas Impact

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Erroll Robinson, a 2009 Slippery Rock University professional studies graduate and shooting guard who helped lead SRU to the PSAC playoffs as part of his college basketball career, has joined the playoff-bound Dallas Impact American Basketball Association team.

Robinson of Herndon, Va., is 6-foot-3. He earned second-team All-PSAC-West honors in 2007-08 while at SRU.

Robinson said he hopes to make an immediate impact with his new team.

He had been slated to play in Mexico this season and had prepared himself for the rigors of the ABA last summer by playing exhibition games in Latin America.

His daily workouts include 4 a.m. practices and intensive weight training.
