Yamamoto earns statewide advocacy post

Junko Yamamoto, Slippery Rock University assistant professor of secondary education, has been appointed advertising and exhibits manager of the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association.
The association is a statewide professional organization for foreign language educators.
Yamamoto will help plan the association's annual conference and regional workshops and other advocacy initiatives.
She has served PSMLA in a variety of capacities, including member-at-large of the executive council and member of the finance, publications, awards, professional development, membership and conference committees.
She has established contacts and worked closely with a variety of vendors and professional organizations.
