’64 graduate writes wrestling book

Ed Onorato, a 1964 Slippery Rock University graduate, retired wrestling coach and member of the Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame, has written “A Humanistic Approach to Coaching Wrestling.”

The 67-page book, published by Strategic Book Group, explains his big-picture philosophy of coaching in terms that will benefit those who coach other sports.

Now retired, Onorato taught and coached wrestling for 18 years at Cathedral Preparatory School in Erie and for 12 years at Pennsylvania State University/Behrend.

At SRU, Onorato played football and wrestled. He was named to the Rock Wrestling All-Time Roster for 1960-62.
