SRU stages 'Dress for Success'

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -Slippery Rock University will host its third annual "Dress for Success Fashion Show" at 7 p.m., Feb. 27, showing students the appropriate attire for the business world.

The free event will be in the Smith Student Center Ballroom.

The fashion show showcases attire appropriate for multiple aspects of the business world, including interviewing, traveling and working out in a company fitness center. The event will feature both men's and women's clothing.

Students planning to attend must pre-register through the Dress for Success icon at Food and prizes will be offered.

Students models will include: Arielle Lilley, a communication major from Mill Run; Jake Weidenman, an information technology major from Pittsburgh; Erica Ramos, a marketing major from Cleveland, Ohio; Katie Gable, a sport management major from Mars; Mike Nulph, a safety management major from Leechburg; Ashley Knight, a resort recreation/tourism major from Harrisville, W. Va., Gelisa Bonner, a criminology criminal justice major from Pittsburgh; and Natalie Yoel, a health services administration major from Wickliffe, Ohio.

Clothing for the show is being provided by Grove City Premium Outlets. Participating stores include Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Nike and Lane Bryant.

AVI Fresh Inc., the campus contract food vendor; SRU's Office of Conference Services; the SRU Office of Career Education and Development; and The President's Commission on the Status of Women are sponsoring the event.
