SRU graduate takes reins as Flagler College disabilities director

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Eva Lynn Francisco, a 1986 special education and 1999 special education master’s degree graduate of Slippery Rock University, has been named director of disability services at Flagler College.

Francisco was the director of special education and coordinator of special services for the Slippery Rock School District from 1997-2010.

She has supervised and coordinated many programs, including special education, gifted education, 504 Rehabilitation Services, English as a second language, nursing services, crisis management and alternative education.

"I have taught special education for 10 years at all levels and with students with various disabilities," she said. "Just recently, I have been involved with working with adults and helping them obtain their GEDs. Getting back to teaching again has been rewarding,” she said.

Flagler College, founded in 1968, is an independent, four-year, comprehensive baccalaureate college, with 2,500 students.
