SRU's UPB plans Kalahari Waterpark trip

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The University Program Board at Slippery Rock University will host an all-day trip to Kalahari Indoor Waterpark in Sandusky, Ohio, March 2.

Buses will leave the University Union Parking Lot at 8 a.m., arriving at the park at 10 a.m. Buses will depart the park at 7 p.m., returning to campus at 9 p.m.

The park is described as the largest indoor waterpark in the nation.

Activities include opportunities for stand-up surfing and boogie board rides. The park offers a 12,000-square-foot wave pool and a 60-foot bowl raft ride, zip coaster, uphill water rollercoaster waterslide and Victoria Falls raft rides.

Shopping facilities are available.

Tickets are $20 for SRU students from the UPB Office in the Smith Student Center.

Participants should pack a swimming suit and beach towel.
