Nicole Kurash, ’00, becomes youth program director

Nicole Kurash, a 2000 Slippery Rock University graduate, has been named director of inpatient youth programs at Gateway Rehabilitation Center in Pittsburgh. Gateway is a non-profit organization that provides addiction treatment for adults and youth.

        Kurash, who received her bachelor’s degree in social work from SRU, has more than 10 years experience treating teenagers with drug and alcohol problems. She served as Gateway Rehab’s clinical manager of inpatient youth programs before being named director.
      After graduating from SRU, Kurash received a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a licensed social worker and certified addiction counselor.
       Gateway, which opened in 1992, has treated more than 100,000 for addiction.
