1993 SRU graduate earns Woman of the Year Award

Nicole Henry-Taylor, a 1993 Slippery Rock University history graduate, has received the Woman of the Year Award from the Duquesne University School of Law Women's Law Association.

The Women's Law Association, a student-run organization, launched and sponsors the award. Henry- Taylor is the 22nd recipient.

Henry-Taylor, a 2010 recipient of SRU's 2010 Young Alumni Award, owns the Law Office of Nicola Henry-Taylor, LLC, which provides litigation-based legal services to residents of Allegheny, Beaver, Westmorland and Butler counties.

A former prosecutor and chief law clerk of the Allegheny County Court of Common Please, Henry-Taylor currently handles domestic disturbance cases in juvenile and adult court.

Henry-Taylor worked as a prosecutor in Allegheny County.  She then served as chief law clerk to two president judges in the Court of Common Pleas.
A 1996 Duquesne graduate, she serves as a federal public defender panel attorney, parent advocate panel attorney, arbitrator and parent coordinator.
