Seventeen Slippery Rock University exercise science majors volunteered at the Grove City YMCA as part of “Healthy Kids Day,” a national initiative to encourage healthy lifestyles, wellness and fight against childhood obesity.
The students provided activities for youth ages 3-12, including jump rope, stability balls, gliding discs, Bosu and rebounders.
Susan Herman, SRU assistant professor of exercise and rehabilitative sciences, served as a supervisor for the event.
