SRU chemistry major wins Puntureri Memorial Scholarship

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -Stephanie Kish, a Slippery Rock University chemistry major from Volant, has been named the 2013-14 recipient of the $1,000 Joseph S. and Eva Puntureri Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship, open to SRU students majoring in natural sciences, mathematics, computer science or environmental health and science, was established by Interstate Chemical Co. of West Middlesex to honor then-President Albert Puntureri.

Those seeking the award must write a two-page essay on the topic "How My University Education will be Beneficial in Pursing My Career. Applicants must have a 3.25 or higher grade point average and have earned at least 60 credit hours at SRU before applying.
