SRU earns 3 Higher Education Marketing Awards

Aaron Moore, graphic designer in Slippery Rock University’s Office of University of Public Relations, has earned two silver and a merit award from the Higher Education Marketing Report as part of its 27th annual Educational Advertising Awards.
Moore won silver medals for his work in designing a logo for the University’s orientation program, “Navigate Your Future” and a poster for the “Jazz Generations” concerts. The Merit Award was for his work in designing a direct mail brochure for the Kaleidoscope Arts Festival.
More than 2,900 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries. Both agency and non-agency work is included in the judging. Judges for the Education Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
Moore joined the University’s public relations staff in 2009.
“We are always pleased to have one or more of our designs acknowledged by organizations such as the Educational Advertising Awards. We work hard to make sure that all of our posters, brochures and related layouts are worthy of awards and meet the client’s needs. To have three of our projects chosen by HEMR is truly a tribute to Aaron’s outstanding design work,” said Sandra Busch, SRU publications manager and Moore’s supervisor.
