SRU's GCAC hosts federal bid workshop

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's Government Contracting Assistance Center will host a free "Responding to a Federal Government Solicitation" seminar from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., May 15, at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township.

Barbara Weaver, a Small Business Administration Procurement Center representative and commercial market representative, and Sherrie Plonski, deputy for small business with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District will review a solicitation that follows FAR Part 15 Uniform Contract Format.

Those attending will be shown how to look at a solicitation and isolate what needs to be addressed in an offer. Presenters will also discuss common mistakes made by small businesses when preparing and submitting bids to the government.
