SRU graduate earns doctorate

Seth Jenny, a 2002 Slippery Rock University health and physical education graduate, has earned his doctorate in physical education, sport and exercise science at the University of New Mexico and has accepted an assistant professor of physical education teacher education position at Winthrop University.

His dissertation was titled “A case study of the coaching philosophy of a men’s NCAA distance running coach: To what extent is it humanistic?” At SRU he was a member of the track and cross country teams.

Michael Cleary, SRU professor of public health and social work, served on his dissertation committee.
