SRU graduate now heads Slippery Rock School District

Alfonso “Butch” Angelucci, a 1992 Slippery Rock University elementary education graduate, has been named superintendent of the Slippery Rock School District. He will start July 1.

Angelucci had formerly served as superintendent of the Union School District, which serves some 800 students. The Slippery Rock district serves 2,100 students, according to a New Castle News story. He had also served as principal, then assistant superintendent in the Ellwood City School District.

In addition his SRU degree, he received a master’s degree in education and educational leadership from George Mason University and his doctorate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
