SRU graduate leads Seneca Valley school

Jodie Perry, who earned her K-12 principal certification from Slippery Rock University, has been appointed principal at the Seneca Valley Intermediate High School by the school’s board of education.

Perry will supervise students in grades nine through 10.

She previously served as assistant principal at Seneca Valley Senior High School. She replaces Alan Cumo who retired.

A 1999 graduate of Seneca Valley, Perry joined in the district in 2003 as a special education teacher at the senior high school. After six years, she was promoted to serve as the senior high school assistant principal.

Perry has experience in developing and writing curriculum, supervising professional and support staff, leading the Youth Education Support Services team and serving as a student council adviser.

She earned her bachelor of science in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master's in instruction and curriculum from Gannon University.
