Michael Robb, ’97, earns Entrepreneur of Year Award

Michael Robb, a 1997 Slippery Rock University master’s degree in counseling graduate, has received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 Award in the nonprofit category for western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Robb is executive director of the Center for Community Resources, the Alliance for Nonprofit Resources and the Nonprofit Development Corp. All three are in Butler.

The award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and success in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their community. An independent panel of judges selected Robb.

Robb is a member of Butler Collaborative for Families, chair of the Butler County Criminal Justice Advisory Board and a board member for Hearing and Deaf Services of Pittsburgh and the Boy Scouts of America of Butler and Armstrong counties. He is a supervisor for Winfield Township and a coach for the Knock Area School Association and South Butler School District boys and girls basketball teams.

He is eligible for consideration for Ernst & Young’s national entrepreneur award.
