Mark Schneider, a 1992 Slippery Rock University accounting graduate, will be among those competing on this season’s edition of “Top Shot,” a shooting-challenge-based reality television show now in its third season on the History Channel.
Schneider is a United States Practical Shooting Association competitor. The show airs at 10 p.m. today.
"I'm just trying to represent my heritage well," Schneider told the Erie Times newspaper. He said he has been practicing with guns he has not previously used as a way to sharpen his skills, and said his USPSA experience has also helped him prepare.
"Top Shot" pits two teams in shooting competitions, eventually whittling the players down to a “champion.”
Although the show taped earlier, Schneider, who now lives in Florida, said he is sworn to secrecy until after the broadcast.
Slippery Rock University is Pennsylvania’s premier public residential university. Slippery Rock University provides students with a comprehensive learning experience that intentionally combines academic instruction with enhanced educational and learning opportunities that make a positive difference in their lives.
