SRU graduate receives Pennsylvania library honor

Marjorie Foster, a 1969 and 1976 Slippery Rock University bachelor’s and master’s degree in special education graduate, has received the Pennsylvania Outstanding Contributor to School Libraries Award.

Foster, was honored recently as a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review “Newsmaker.”

She retired in 2010 after 36 years as school librarian at North Allegheny School District, where she also served as library department chair and manager of academic technology.

She makes her home with her family in Mechanicsburg.
