SRU commissions two ROTC cadets

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. –Slippery Rock University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Program will commission two cadets as second lieutenants as part of 3 p.m., Aug. 20 ceremonies in the Advanced Technology and Science Hall.

Capt. Brian Morgan from SRU’s ROTC program will lead the ceremonies.

Receiving their commissions are recent SRU graduates:

• Ryan Ahl, a secondary education major from Slippery Rock, who has been assigned to ordinance at the 128th BSB in Ford City after attending basic training at Ft. Lee, Virgina; and

• Andrew Redfoot, a history major from Hermitage, who will attend officer basic training at Ft. Huachucha in Arizona before working in military intelligence.
