McMurray district names SRU graduate assistant superintendent

Patricia Kardambikis, a 1990 Slippery Rock University secondary guidance and counseling masters degree graduate, has been selected as the new assistant to the superintendent for curriculum, instruction and assessment of the Peters Township School District in McMurray.


Since 2008, Kardambikis had served as director of curriculum and student achievement at Aliquippa High School. She was program director of e-CADEMY, a supplemental online program for students in grades 9-12, and was director of health services at Neshannock Township School District in New Castle.


In addition to her SRU degree, she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Carlow College and her master’s degree in health education from Penn State University. She earned her doctorate of philosophy for curriculum and instruction from Kent State University and her Principal Certification (K-12) and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Westminster College.
