SRU student receives Audubon ecology scholarship

Caleb Sykora-Bodie, a Slippery Rock University geography, geology and environmental studies major from Harrisville, has won the Mike Alan Starker Ecology Scholarship in Environmental Studies.

The scholarship honors the late Mike Alan Starker, a 1982 SRU graduate and surveyor supervisor for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. He was also a founder of the Bartramian Audubon Society, a local chapter of the National Audubon Society, which annually provides the $1,000 scholarship in his memory.

Sykora-Bodie plans to attend graduate school following his SRU graduation.
