PA School Librarians Association honors SRU graduate

Marjorie Foster, a 1969 Slippery Rock University elementary education graduate and a 1976 master’s of special education graduate, has been honored as the 2012 Pennsylvania Outstanding Contributor to School Libraries Award recipient.

The Pennsylvania School Librarians Association presented the award.

Foster, of Ross Township, had been a school librarian for 36 years according to a story in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

She retired in 2010 from the North Allegheny School District, where she had served as library department chair and manager of academic technology.
