SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Sixteen Slippery Rock University faculty members have received promotions.
The promotions were effective with the start of fall semester.
Elevated from associate professor to professor were: Thomas Como and Jon Shumway, both in art; Benjamas Jirasakuldech, School of Business; Richard Marchand, mathematics; Randall Nichols, physical and health education; and Langdon Smith, geography, geology and the environment.
Moving from assistant professor to associate professor were: Andrew Colvin, philosophy; Patrick Harvey, criminology and criminal justice; Athula Heart, physics and pre-engineering; Donald Mong, School of Business; Paula Rieder and Carlis White, both history; Bonnie Siple, exercise and rehabilitative sciences; Melissa Teodoro, dance; and Junko Yamamoto, secondary education/foundations of education.
Heather Getsay in Bailey Library was promoted from instructor to assistant professor.
