SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's Government Contracting Assistance Center and California University of Pennsylvania's Government Agency Coordination Office will jointly sponsor the 26th Annual Procurement Opportunities Fair Oct. 23.
The 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. event will be at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North, Mars.
Businesses interested in selling products or services to federal, state and local government agencies and prime contractors are invited to attend.
The event will focus on providing companies with contracting and subcontracting information.
The fair will offer 79 booths staffed by government agencies, corporations, regional service organizations and area businesses.
Some of the fair's participants will be: Lockheed Martin Aeroparts, The Walsh Group, Veteran's Health Administration, Department of Corrections, Department of General Services, Rivers Casino, 84 Lumber Co., dck North America, Mascaro Construction Co., National Energy Technology Laboratory, Simplex Grinnell and Bettis Laboratory.
Breakout sessions covering "Picking a Winning Team," "Responsive and Responsible Bidding," "Understanding the Commonwealth's Small Business Procurement Program" and "Social Networking for Small Business" are planned.
Fair admission is $40 per person, including a buffet lunch.
