Colorado Ice sign former SRU quarterback

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Cody Endres, a 2012 professional studies graduate from Washington, Pa. and the starting quarterback for the SRU football team, has been signed by the Colorado Ice, a member of the Indoor Football League.

In his one season at The Rock, Endres started in 11 games, completing 220 of his 374 passes for 2,551 passing yards and 21 passing touchdowns; while also having one rushing touchdown. He was rated as the 50th best quarterback prospect in the 2012 draft class.

“We are excited and happy for Cody and proud of him becoming a professional player,” George Mihali, head football coach, said. “Cody has experience playing on the Division I level and he had a great year with us, so I definitely think he has the talent to play on the pro level.”

At 6’4”, 235 pound, Endres made an immediate impact in his season at SRU, finishing with the most completions (220) and passing yards (2,551) in a single season and finishing second for touchdown passes (21) from a quarterback.

He had played his first three seasons as quarterback at the University of Connecticut before transferring to SRU. At UConn, he competed in 15 games and started in 10. In his three seasons there he completed 182 of his 313 passes for 2,236 passing yards and 11 passing touchdowns.
