Len Krichko, a 1980 Slippery Rock University recreation graduate, has been named the recipient of the Herman S. Prescott Award from The Professional Association at Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Midwest Leadership Conference in Indianapolis.
The award is dedicated in honor of Prescott, a deeply respected and admired Boys & Girls Clubs professional leader whose dedication toward the principles of diversity, equality, empowerment and inclusion are nationally recognized.
Krichko has served and led Boys & Girls Clubs for the past 32 years and has been recognized nationally, regionally and on a statewide basis for his outstanding professional leadership.
In addition to his SRU degree, He earned a master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University and an associate degree from the Community College of Allegheny County.
As the Midwest Regional Award winner, one of five regions, he is now a finalist for the National Herman S. Prescott Award to be presented at Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Conference next May. The clubs are headquartered in Farmington Hills, Mich.
