The intramural sports championship flag football team at Slippery Rock University, No Speed Limit, added to its fall semester success by finishing third out of 80 intramural sports flag football teams entered in the NIRSA Region 1 Flag Football Championship.
The tournament was conducted earlier this month at the University of Maryland.
In the round robin segment, No Speed Limit beat St. John's Lexington 49-6 and Stevenson University 33-7. Moving to the playoffs, The Rock entry defeated Mount St. Mary's University 39-0 in the first round, and Suffolk University 25-6 in the second round.
In the semifinals, eventual runner-up East Carolina University eliminated the SRU squad by a score of 39-7. University of Massachusetts defeated ECU to capture the championship.
The SRU team had earlier won the Pennsylvania west championship in the PIRSA State Championship defeating California University of Pennsylvania for the championship.

Chisom, early childhood, Midland; and Corey Slater, health and physical education, Mars, Pa.
