Marcia Kotek, Slippery Rock University human resources benefits and transaction manager, and Laurie Leighton, clerk typist 1 at the Regional Learning Alliance, have won 32-inch, flat-screen TV's through SRU's Campus Family Campaign.
"My husband's even more excited than me," Kotek said.
"I am very excited. I could use a new TV," Leighton said.
John Snyder, associate director of career services, received the campaign's bi-monthly    $20 Giant Eagle Gift Certificate.
The Campus Family Campaign is the University's primary fund-raising program targeting faculty and staff. Gifts support student scholarships, academic programs, academic department enhancements or any other area designated by the contributor.
Tracy Allison, manager of the Annual Fund, which runs the campaign, said SRU faculty and staff have pledged $137,898 as of Nov. 6 - up from $131,308 since the beginning of the 2009-10 campaign.
She said 458 employees  - 47 percent - have contributed. Sixty-six employees have increased their payroll deduction since last year's campaign, with a total of 388 employees making use of payroll deduction.
Faculty or staff members who authorized a new payroll deduction or who increased their payroll deduction by $5 per pay were eligible for the TV drawing. The campaign continues through Dec. 31. Giant Eagle certificate drawings continue bi-weekly through Dec. 31.
