SRU CONTINUING EDUCATION PLANNING THEATER TRIPS FOR HALLOWEEN,
CHRISTMAS
SLIPPERY
ROCK, Pa. – Just in time for Halloween – and then again
for Christmas -- Slippery Rock University’s Office of
Continuing Education will offer theater day-trips to the Mt. Hope
Theatre and Winery in Cornwall.
The
Halloween trip, set for Oct. 26, will include entertainment in the
“Poe Evermore Theater,” as part of a room-to-room
movable production, and a wine-tasting party with the actors. A
full-course lunch at the Swashbuckler Brew Pub and Eaterie is also
planned.
A
“Charles Dickens Victorian Christmas” excursion will be
held Nov. 30 offering a hot mulled wine and grape juice tasting
party, lunch at the brew pub and caroling and story telling in the
“Dickens’ Theatre.”
Both
trips leave campus at 7:30 a.m. and returns at midnight. Cost is
$99 per person for each excursion.
“These
are fun-filled filed trips,” explains Richard Comings,
director of continuing education. “While there is certainly
an educational component, the trips will allow people to enjoy the
holiday, meet new friends and be entertained all at the same
time.”
Registration
may be completed by calling 724-738-2633.
