PRIZES AWAIT THE WINNER OF THE NAME THE SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY REGIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL CONTEST PUBLIC INVITED TO SUBMIT NAMES UNTIL OCT. 31

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The ground rules are simple: choose one word that embodies Slippery Rock University’s Regional Arts Festival. The best suggestion will become its new name. Winner takes all – prizes, that is.

The College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts will accept name proposals from the public, students and staff through Oct. 31. The only stipulation is that your entry captures the essence of the arts and humanities in one word.

Entry forms for the Name the Slippery Rock Regional Arts Festival Contest are available at the Dean’s Office, College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts, 104 Strain Behavioral Science Building. The winner will be announced after the Oct. 31 deadline.

Prizes include a woven SRU throw, a Java City Mug, $5 in coupons and complimentary tickets to several festival events.

Held each spring, the festival includes concerts, dances, art exhibits, Civil War re-enactments and events for children. Call 724-738-4863 for more information or visit http://www.sru.edu/pages/916.asp
