REGIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL CONTEST PUBLIC INVITED TO SUBMIT NAMES UNTIL
OCT. 31
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The ground rules are simple: choose one
word that embodies Slippery Rock University’s Regional Arts
Festival. The best suggestion will become its new name. Winner
takes all – prizes, that is.
The College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts will accept
name proposals from the public, students and staff through Oct. 31.
The only stipulation is that your entry captures the essence of the
arts and humanities in one word.
Entry forms for the Name the Slippery Rock Regional Arts
Festival Contest are available at the Dean’s Office, College
of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts, 104 Strain Behavioral
Science Building. The winner will be announced after the Oct. 31
deadline.
Prizes include a woven SRU throw, a Java City Mug, $5 in coupons
and complimentary tickets to several festival events.
Held each spring, the festival includes concerts, dances, art
exhibits, Civil War re-enactments and events for children. Call
