Ghosts to again haunt SRU's Old Stone House
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - There will be ghost stories galore again this year as Slippery Rock University's Old Stone House hosts "Halloween at the Old Stone House" from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 25-26.
The event offers different ghost stories or plays in each room of the former stage coach stop. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
Tours start at the front porch and lead visitors through the entire house as members of Phi Alpha Theta, the campus history honorary, along with those from the Brookfield Storytellers, students from Knoch High School and members of the Center for Paranormal Study and Investigation offer chilling tales.
The Old Stone House, one of Butler County's most recognized landmarks, is located at the intersections of routes 8, 528 and 173, 12 miles north of Butler.
