Cosmo magazine names Rock graduate state's top bachelor
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Michael Koshzow, a 2007 Slippery Rock University graduate, has been named Cosmopolitan magazine's top Pennsylvania bachelor for 2008 and will compete against 50 other men for the national title this weekend. If he wins the contest, which ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, he will receive $10,000.
The Pittsburgh-based exercise physiologist said he values trust in relationships. "I need to be able to trust a woman and for her to trust me," he said in his contest profile. "Without trust, there is not relationship."
Koshzow, who received his degree from SRU in exercise science, is an associate health and wellness director for the Downtown YMCA.
Online voting will determine the six semifinalists, and a panel of Cosmopolitan editors will select the Bachelor of the Year for the six. Rock supporters can vote for Koshzow at www.singleinpa.com. The winner of the contest will be announced Tuesday in New York. The bachelors are also scheduled to appear on the "Today" show Tuesday.
