Collaborative Drawing Project produces originals
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Art Building 1 has two new original pieces of art on display - wall murals created today by more than 40 people who participated in the first Collaborative Drawing Project.
SRU students, many of them art majors, faculty members and art majors from the University of Pittsburgh participated. The group, working primarily with chalk, created abstract landscapes on rolls of paper fastened to walls on the second floor.
Heather Hertel, SRU art instructor, organized the collaborative so that art students could learn from each other and consider the importance to working together with application for problem-solving.
Participants used dry and water-based mediums and used their own drawing tools.
