FOOD DRIVE SET FOR FEB. 28 – MARCH 4 AT SRU

           SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. –The “Social Cultural Studies in Early Childhood Education” class at Slippery Rock University has organized a food drive for Feb. 28-March 4, open to everyone on campus and community residents. The Feed My Sheep Cupboard, based in Slippery Rock, will distribute the food.

Organizers set up collections bins for non-perishable food in McKay Education Building and Dinger Special Education Building.

Students organized the drive as a service-learning project, using the theme “An Item a Day Keeps Hunger Away.” They are College of Education juniors and seniors.

The following items are needed: peanut butter, canned goods, pasta, canned or powdered milk, rice, cereal, diapers, cleaning supplies, detergents and toiletries.
