SRU graduate using skills at North Hills Junior High School


Bill McGahee, who earned his master's degree in elementary education in 2006 and his principal certification in 2008 from Slippery Rock University and has served as a high school English teacher at North Hills Senior High since 2001, has been named assistant principal at North Hills Junior High School. 

In his new post, McGahee will oversee students in the A-K office, beginning July 1, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

At the senior high school, he was a committee co-chair for the Middle States Accreditation process and an administrative intern during the 2007-08 school year. He was also the junior high football coach for six years.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Mercyhurst College.
