32-Foot Tower Added to SRU Leadership Course

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Executive Leadership Course at Slippery Rock University includes a new component - a 32-foot tower for climbing, rappelling and rope bridge exercises. Students, community groups, teachers and business professionals use it for leadership training, team building and problem solving.

Democrats to Rally at SRU for Voter Meeting Aug. 26

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The newly-formed Butler Area Democrats, the Kerry2004 Meetup and the Young Democrats organizations will hold a "Joint Democratic Voters Meeting" at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 in McKay Education Building on the Slippery Rock University campus.

SRU Dance Department Plans Saturday Classes for Children

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The dance department at Slippery Rock University will offer an 11-week series of Saturday dance classes focused on teaching, exploring and learning for children ages 3 to 12 beginning Sept. 11.

SRU Students Plan Voter Registration Rally for Thursday

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - A "Student Voter Registration Drive Kick-Off Rally" will be held at Slippery Rock University from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday [Sept. 2] in an effort to promote the national "Your Vote, Your Voice" campaign from the National Campus Voter Registration Project.

SRU Faculty Panel to Offer Analysis of 9-11 Ramifications

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -As a way of keeping Slippery Rock University students abreast of current events and as a way of providing in-depth analysis and provoking critical thinking, its College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts will sponsor a 3:30 p.m. Sept. 9 panel discussion examining the impact of the 9-11 attacks on contemporary American politics, foreign policy and domestic policy. �
