Dance Faculty, Guest Artist Concert Set for Oct. 25

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's dance faculty will share the stage with alumni and guest artists during the department's annual Faculty and Guest Artist's Dance Concert at 8 p.m. Oct. 25 in Miller Auditorium. The SRU Jazz Ensemble will provide live music.

SRU's School Counseling Program Gains National Acceptance

Pittsburgh-based Quality Aggregates Creates Award for Laurel High Scholars

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Quality Aggregates, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based surface mining and land reclamation company, has committed to a $20,000 donation to Slippery Rock University to create the Quality Aggregates Scholarship for graduates of New Castle's Laurel High School.

SRU Voice Major from Butler Takes Williamson Competition

Up to 1,500 Musicians to Visit SRU for 'Rock Showcase of Champions' Nov. 5

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Up to 1,500 regional high school band musicians will visit Slippery Rock University Nov. 5 for the first-ever "The Rock Showcase of Champions" featuring the top seven bands from southwestern Pennsylvania in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association Championships and the top seven bands in the northwestern Pennsylvania Lakeshore Marching Band Association Championships.
