SRU One of Three Universities in U.S. Recognized by Institute for Safety, Health Management

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's Safety and Health Management Program is among the first three programs in the nation to qualify for board approval from the National Safety Management Society's Institute for Safety and Health Management.

SRU Math Students to Study Fibonacci Squence

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -Just as mathematicians nationwide celebrate Pi Day once a year, math students at Slippery Rock University will devote March 8 to Leonardo of Pisa's famous "Fibonacci Sequence," an 800-year old sequencing of numbers from the man that brought the decimal system to Europe.

New Vice President for Student Life Named at SRU

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Dr. Constance Foley has been named vice president for student life at Slippery Rock University, effective July 1, 2006.� "I am very pleased Dr. Foley has accepted this position," said SRU President Robert M. Smith. "As assistant vice president for student affairs at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., for the past eight years, she has helped direct strategic planning for the development of the campus including new housing construction and a major renovation of the student union."

Pa. Health Secretary to Visit SRU Equestrian Center April 4
