SRU financial aid director's service dog, Josie, is finalist 

 

Josie, Patty Hladio's service dog, is a finalist in Bissell's Most Valuable Pet Contest, sponsored by Bissell, the vacuum and rug cleaner manufacturer. The program offers cash awards that could benefit SRU's Storm Harbor Equestrian Center.

Hladio, SRU director of financial aid, uses a motorized scooter along with her service dog to help her with a variety of everyday tasks.

Her dog's entry in the program is being promoted by the Grove City College Animal Alliance.

The contest's grand prize is the winning dog's photo on the Bissell box, a $10,000 donation to the pet charity of the owner's choice, a Bissell pet vacuum or deep cleaner and a $500 shopping spree. Prizes are also offered in a number of other levels. Hladio has chosen Storm Harbor as her charity.
