SRU graduate takes brigadier general post at Maryland base
Col. Kevin Jacobsen, a 1980 Slippery Rock University graduate, has been named a brigadier general-commander for the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigation at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
Jacobsen will take command at an April 6 ceremony.
He will be the 16th commander of the unit. He currently serves as director of special investigations on the U.S. Air Force's inspector general staff.
Jacobsen was cited for serving with distinction in numerous capacities, including commander of three detachments, including an OSI Expeditionary Squadron in southwest Asia and the 2nd
Jacobsen has also served on the joint staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense staff.
