SRU's Green & White Society shows 'Campus Clean Up' spirit  


SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's Green & White Society will sponsor a 2010 Campus Clean Up campaign beginning at 9:30 a.m. April 10.

           The Green & White Society is a select group of SRU student ambassadors committed to increasing school spirit on campus and maintaining contact with Rock alumni.

           Registration for the event begins at 9:30 a.m. Advanced Technology and Science Building Lobby followed by a presentation in the ATS Auditorium.

           The clean up begins at 11 a.m. with all necessary equipment in place at various campus locations.

           A post-event lunch is at 1 p.m. in Boozel Dining Hall. Meal tickets will be provided to those volunteers who do not have a campus meal plan.

           Andrew Bolla, the society's vice president of alumni relations, said all participants would receive five community-service credit hours for their work. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are urged to participate.

           Registration forms are available from SRU's Center for Student Involvement and Leadership located in the University Union.
