SRU GRADUATE CLASS TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL

SPORT MANAGEMENT GOLF TOURNAMENT

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The Slippery Rock University sport marketing graduate class will host its fourth annual Sport Management Scholarship Golf Outing April 29 at the Tam O’Shanter Golf Course in Hermitage.

Funds from the tournament, which will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m., will be used to raise money for the Sport Management Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is given to a sport management student annually.

Members of the sport marketing graduate class will be seeking donations and sponsorships from sport organizations and local businesses to help raise money.

Cost for participation is $50 for students; $75 for the public. Registration includes greens fees for 18 holes, breakfast, including doughnuts and juice, lunch at the turn, a buffet-style dinner at Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon, and a chance at various prizes during dinner.

Prizes will also be given for those who win the putting, longest drive and closest to the pin contests.

For more information about sponsorships, donations or registration, e-mail Dr. Brian Crow at brian.crow@sru.edu, call 724-738-2392 or visit the official golf tournament Web site at http://www.sru.edu/pages/10663.asp.
