 SRU's Kaleidoscope arts festival begins Wednesday 

           Numerous feature stories and photography opportunities will unfold Wednesday when the 14-day Kaleidoscope arts festival at Slippery Rock University begins. The first day includes live bands on the quad, a book art exhibit, campus barbecue and a free concert at 6 p.m. by the poetry rock band Coyote Run.

            The artistry and outdoor activities will continue daily. Saturday is Kaleidoscope on Main featuring more than 25 musical acts and dozens of artists in town, with more activities on campus as well.

            Children's Day is April 26.  The Zany Umbrella Circus will perform at 3 p.m. in front of the Russell Wright Alumni House. Other Kaleidoscope highlights include a reading by cartoonist Lynda Barry, Shakespeare's Birthday Dinner and numerous concerts and performances by SRU students.
