'Something in the Way They Move' spotlights SRU dance majors

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University dance department will spotlight its seniors in two performances titled "Something in the Way They Move" April 25 in Swope Music Hall.

The dance concerts, which will feature a variety of dance genres, are at 5 and 8 p.m.

For this year's program each senior was given the opportunity to work with three of the department's seven faculty. Each faculty member set their choreography to a different Beatles song for the dance students to perform.

This year's graduating class has so many talented and driven individuals, I expect them to make an impact in the dance world," Cara Hoover, a dance major from Mayport, said.

Tickets are $5 for the public, $3 for students and may be purchased from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the Morrow Field House Lobby or at the door.
